Five Tips for a Smooth JobFlow Implementation

Follow these best‑practice steps to help your JobFlow rollout run smoothly and ensure your team gets the most from the system.

1. Use Google Chrome as Your Browser

JobFlow is optimised for Google Chrome, and all release testing is completed using Chrome.
While JobFlow will usually work in other browsers, differences in performance and technical behaviour can cause unexpected issues.

Using Chrome ensures the best experience for you and your team.

2. Ensure All Mobile App Users Have Auto‑Update Enabled

Your field team needs to run the latest version of the JobFlow mobile app to access new features and fixes.
Many support enquiries relate to issues that have already been resolved in newer versions.

To check the app version:

  • Open the JobFlow mobile app
  • Open the Menu
  • Select Info
  • The version number will be displayed on screen

3. Address Frustration Early

It’s normal for teams to feel uncertain or frustrated when learning new software.
JobFlow may behave differently from what people are used to, and this can feel challenging—especially during busy periods.

If concerns arise:

  • Encourage your team to speak up early
  • Note the job number if something seems wrong
  • Contact our support team so we can investigate  (NZ PH: +64 7 391 0039 ext. 2, or AU Ph:+61 2 4089 0639 ext. 2)

We can check system logs and help resolve issues quickly.

4. Run Your Existing System Alongside JobFlow (Briefly)

Running your current job management system alongside JobFlow for a short period helps validate performance and build confidence.
However, keep this overlap to no more than one month to avoid unnecessary double handling.

Communicate this clearly to your team so they know when the transition will be complete.

Once JobFlow is fully adopted, your team will begin to see the benefits—both operationally and personally.

5. Recognise That Implementation Requires Commitment

JobFlow touches almost every part of your business, so the first 2–3 months require focused effort from your team.

During this period:

  • We may adjust JobFlow to better fit your processes
  • You may refine your processes to align with JobFlow
  • Your team will be learning new workflows and habits

To support a successful rollout:

Choose the Right Season

Summer and Autumn provide more breathing room before the busy Spring period.

Communicate the “Why”

Be clear about:

  • Why you’re implementing JobFlow
  • The benefits for the business
  • The benefits for each team member

Set Expectations

Make it clear that:

  • Everyone is responsible for the success of the implementation
  • A single negative attitude can impact the whole team
  • It will take 2–3 months to fully bed in
  • Their extra effort is recognised and appreciated

Consider a small reward or team celebration once the implementation phase is complete.
